The park opened in 2015 as part of the Complexul Balnear Cozia and operates year-round, daily from 9am to 9pm. Entry covers a 3.5-hour session; overtime is charged additionally.
The park has 11 indoor and outdoor pools totalling approximately 4,000 square metres, fed by thermal water at 37 degrees Celsius. The water has a pH of 7 and a salinity of 13.1, and is officially indicated for rheumatic conditions including degenerative joint disease, inflammatory rheumatism, and periarticular conditions, as well as post-traumatic and neurological indications. The pools are equipped with hydromassage jets and jacuzzi. Waterslides operate both indoors and outdoors, with indoor and outdoor sections alternating by season and session. A wet steam sauna is available. Over 1,400 sun loungers are on site.
The complex is within the wider spa strip of Calimanesti-Caciulata, one of Romania's main ape termale resort areas. Cozia Monastery, a 14th-century Orthodox monastery 2 kilometres away, is the main historical attraction of the area.

Suitability & Accessibility
Who AquaPark Cozia Suits
AquaPark Cozia suits families, groups, and visitors to the Olt valley who want a thermal pool and slides experience in a year-round facility. The 37-degree thermal water, the variety of pools, and the slide options make it equally attractive for those seeking therapeutic bathing and those looking for a family activity day. The 3.5-hour session structure gives the visit a clear shape and works well for families with children who want a full water day without the open-ended fatigue of a resort pool.
The therapeutic water is specifically indicated for rheumatic and joint conditions, making AquaPark Cozia a practical choice for older visitors or those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries who can combine pool relaxation with hydromassage. The thermal circuit also suits couples looking for a relaxed day in the Olt valley between visits to Cozia Monastery or the Cozia National Park. For families seeking bai termale near Ramnicu Valcea, this is the most modern and well-equipped aqua park in the resort strip.
Wheelchair access at AquaPark Cozia has not been confirmed. The complex is a modern facility opened in 2015, but pool entry, slide access, and sun lounger areas involve standard aqua park infrastructure. Visitors with mobility requirements should contact the complex before visiting; access to the thermal pools for bathing may be possible while slides are not. The site is generally flat and vehicle access is direct from the DN7.
Safety & Etiquette
AquaPark Cozia Safety Tips
AquaPark Cozia is a managed facility with staff on site. Follow all posted slide rules; height and age restrictions apply to the waterslides and are posted at each slide entrance. Children should be supervised at all times in the water. The shallow pools for young children are separate from the adult circuit; keep young children in the designated areas. Grip sandals are essential throughout the complex as wet pool surrounds and changing areas can be slippery.
The thermal water temperature is 37 degrees Celsius. People with cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure, acute inflammatory conditions, or pregnancy should seek medical advice before extended thermal bathing. Limit continuous pool time to 30 to 45 minutes, cool down and hydrate between sessions. The steam sauna adds additional heat load; limit sauna sessions to 10 minutes initially and increase only after acclimatisation. Drink water throughout your visit; the self-service restaurant is the easiest source of food and drink on site.
The timed entry session of 3.5 hours begins the moment you enter the complex, not when you enter the water; change quickly to make the most of your session. Buy your ticket at Hotel Cozia reception before going to the aqua park entrance; arriving without a pre-purchased ticket causes delays at the gate. Arrive early on weekends (9am opening) to avoid the mid-morning crowd from Ramnicu Valcea and Bucharest. The aqua park closes at 9pm; allow time to shower and change before closing.
