Mercey Hot Springs, California is a 144-acre eco-friendly hot springs resort in the Little Panoche Valley of Fresno County, approximately 35 miles west of Los Banos and 60 miles west of Fresno in central California. Mineral water emerges from a geothermal source at 119 degrees Fahrenheit and from an artesian well at 110 degrees, feeding 19 therapeutic outdoor hot tubs, a heated swimming pool, and private indoor bathhouse tubs. The springs were used by indigenous peoples long before European contact. John Merci, a sheep herder and early settler, learned of the springs from local native peoples and later changed the spelling of his name to Mercy, giving the springs their name. A hotel and resort operated here from the 1860s until fire destroyed the main building in the mid-1930s. The property was rebuilt with a bathhouse and restaurant, and later expanded with cabins and a campground. Today Mercey Hot Springs is one of the more distinctive hot spring resort destinations in California, operating on solar power in a remote valley setting.
The resort runs entirely on solar energy, and air conditioning and electric heating are not available in guest accommodations.

From Fresno, drive west on Highway 180 toward Mendota, then left on Belmont Avenue/J1 for approximately 11 miles.
