Safety & Etiquette
Pulse Therme Banya Safety Tips
Pulse Therme Banya is a professionally managed spa with trained staff and lifeguards. Pool temperatures vary across the 13 facilities; the Kneipp contrast therapy pool alternates warm and cold immersion and should be used in the correct warm-to-cold direction as marked. The fireplace pool is one of the warmer outdoor pools; limit sessions to 20-30 minutes and cool down in the contrast pool or the larger outdoor pools between rounds. People with cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, or hypertension should seek medical advice before extended thermal mineral bathing.
The four sauna types and three steam baths offer a wide thermal range. Follow the sequence of shower before entry, 10-15 minute session, and full cooling at the shock plunge pool between rounds. The two steam baths with built-in shock pools are designed for immediate contrast; enter the cold plunge slowly, particularly on your first session. The infusion sauna involves periodic infusion ceremonies; first-time visitors should inform the sauna specialist before the ceremony begins if they are new to the experience. The cinema lounge is a cool relaxation zone between sessions.
Access is strictly for ages 14 and over; children under 14 require an adult companion. The complex can reach peak occupancy on winter ski weekends and Bulgarian public holidays; booking in advance at pulsetherme.bg is strongly recommended. Grip sandals are essential on all pool surrounds and between indoor and outdoor areas. After a full spa session the body needs time to readjust; rest for 20-30 minutes in the relaxation room before returning to ski slopes or driving.
