Suitability & Accessibility
Who Therme Bucuresti Suits
Therme Bucuresti suits a wide range of visitors: families with children for Galaxy, adults seeking relaxation in The Palm's mineral pools and hydromassage beds, and wellness enthusiasts for Elysium's sauna circuits and spa treatments. The year-round tropical indoor environment and 33-degree thermal water make it a strong choice in any season; it is especially popular in winter when the warm pools contrast sharply with cold outside temperatures. It is one of the most distinctive thermal experiences accessible from Bucharest.
Children aged 3 to 14 may only enter the Galaxy zone with an adult; children under 3 (with birth certificate) may enter The Palm. The minimum age for The Palm and Elysium is 14. The minimum age for body treatments in the spa is 18. These rules are enforced at zone entry. The ape termale experience at Therme suits visitors who want a full day of activity rather than a short soak; most regular visitors recommend allowing at least four to six hours and ideally a full day.
Wheelchair users can access Galaxy and The Palm, both on level 0, with designated accessible washrooms available. Elysium on the upper level is not accessible to wheelchair users. Special needs tickets with a 40% discount are available every day including holidays but must be bought at the on-site cashier rather than online. Visitors with mobility requirements should contact therme.ro before visiting to confirm current step-free access arrangements within the level 0 pool areas.

Therme Bucuresti Safety Tips
Therme Bucuresti is a professionally managed facility with lifeguards and staff throughout. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Non-swimmers must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer in the pools. Recording devices including phones and cameras are not allowed in pool areas, on slides, or in saunas; photography that intrudes on other visitors' privacy is strictly prohibited. Wearing swimsuit under clothes before arrival is not permitted; change in the locker rooms. Bring clean flip-flops packed inside your bag; outside footwear worn to the entrance is not allowed in the pool zones. For the sauna areas in Elysium, limit initial sessions to 10 to 15 minutes and cool down fully between rounds at the shower stations. The themed saunas include Aufguss (heat rituals with essential oils and fans) performed by Aufguss Masters at scheduled session times. The high-humidity steam saunas and the salt sauna with Himalayan salt walls each have different effects; build tolerance gradually.
The RFID bracelet system covers all in-complex purchases; no cash is needed inside. Overtime charges apply if you exceed your ticketed session length; monitor your time. Weekends and Friday evenings are the busiest periods; weekday mornings offer the calmest experience. Remove metallic jewellery and necklaces before using the waterslides. The outdoor Sands of Therme beach area operates seasonally from late May; check therme.ro for current seasonal opening status of outdoor facilities.
