Quick FactsOverview
QC Spa Dolomiti, Italy is a wellness center located in the village of Pozza di Fassa in the Val di Fassa valley of the Trentino region in northeastern Italy. The facility sits at approximately 1,320 meters elevation in the heart of the Dolomite Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its distinctive pale limestone peaks, vertical rock walls, and alpine biodiversity. Pozza di Fassa is positioned in the Fassa Valley beneath the Rosengarten (Catinaccio) and Marmolada mountain groups. The village is part of the comune of San Giovanni di Fassa and is located in a Ladin-speaking cultural area where the Ladin language, Trentino Italian, and German coexist as regional languages.
The wellness center opened in December 2016 as a purpose-built facility designed for the Dolomite mountain environment. The complex extends over 4,000 square meters arranged on three floors and integrates contemporary alpine design with local materials including stone, wood, and natural textiles. The facility was constructed with eco-friendly principles and zero-kilometer sourcing of materials from the Trentino region. The architecture emphasizes views of the Rosengarten skyline, which towers above the valley to the north. QC Spa Dolomiti is the first QC Terme location built in the Dolomites and serves the Val di Fassa ski and hiking tourism market.
The spa offers over 30 wellness practices across indoor and outdoor zones. Thermal water from the Alloch Spring, the only sulphur spring in Trentino, feeds several pools and baths. The Alloch Spring has been known since ancient times for its therapeutic mineral properties and is rich in sulphur, calcium, and magnesium. The wellness circuit includes chromotherapy pools with colored lighting and music, Japanese-style baths, outdoor hot tubs beneath the open sky where whirlpool bubbles mix with mountain air, waterfalls designed to relieve shoulder and back muscle tension, Kneipp thermal footpaths, biosaunas, Turkish steam baths, hammams, salt rooms for respiratory therapy, and olfactory aromatherapy spaces. Multiple relaxation areas on the upper floor feature themed designs including sky-themed rooms and fire-themed lounges. The facility emphasizes forest bathing, a Japanese and Far East wellness practice of immersing in natural forest environments, with outdoor areas surrounded by mountain woods. A wellness bistro serves local Trentino cuisine with Wellness Lunch and Wellness Break menus. An Aperiterme evening service with beverages and small plates is offered. Massage treatments and body therapies are available by appointment for an additional fee. The center is open daily with extended hours on weekends and holidays. Advance online booking is recommended, particularly during ski season and summer hiking months.

The facility is appropriate for adults, couples, and families with children aged 5 and older. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The environment is designed for relaxation with self-guided wellness circuits, multiple thermal experiences, and quiet zones. Guests should be comfortable in a multi-floor facility with indoor and outdoor areas requiring movement between different thermal zones. The facility is popular with skiers in winter and hikers in summer seeking relaxation after mountain activities, as well as wellness tourists visiting the Val di Fassa specifically for spa experiences.
The facility is partially wheelchair accessible. The main entrance, reception, and some wellness areas on the ground floor can be accessed without stairs. Elevators connect all three floors, providing access to upper-level relaxation rooms and additional pools. However, some outdoor terraces, specific sauna areas, and wellness zones involve steps or uneven transitions that are not fully accessible to wheelchair users. The multi-floor layout and some design features may not meet all modern accessibility standards. Guests with mobility limitations should contact the spa in advance to confirm which areas can be accessed and to arrange assistance if needed. Staff can provide guidance on accessible routes through the wellness circuit.
The wellness path is self-guided, allowing visitors to move between thermal pools, forest bathing areas, saunas, steam baths, and relaxation rooms at their own pace. Most guests spend 4 to 6 hours on-site to experience the full circuit. Quiet zones are designated for silence and meditation. Mobile phone use is prohibited in all wellness areas. The facility provides bathrobes, towels, and slippers with admission, which are included in the entry fee. Swimwear is required in all pool and wet areas. Personal belongings should be stored in provided lockers. Valuables are not recommended.
Food service is available at the wellness bistro throughout operating hours. The Wellness Lunch menu features local Trentino dishes with options for health-conscious eating. Reservations for dining are recommended, particularly on weekends and during ski season. An Aperiterme evening service with beverages, wine, beer, and small plates is included with certain admission packages. Guests access dining areas in spa attire. Outside food and drink are not permitted. Hydration stations with complimentary water and herbal teas are located throughout the facility. Shower products including gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are provided in changing rooms. The outdoor pools and hot tubs are heated and operational year-round, including winter when snow covers the surrounding mountains and forests. Winter visits offer the unique experience of soaking in warm thermal water while surrounded by snow-covered Dolomite peaks.
Safety & Etiquette
QC Spa Dolomiti Safety Tips
QC Spa Dolomiti is generally safe for most visitors when wellness facilities are used as intended. Thermal water from the Alloch Spring feeds several pools at temperatures suitable for soaking. Other pools use heated tap water at controlled temperatures. Visitors should test water temperature before entering any pool or bath and avoid prolonged exposure to very hot water, particularly if pregnant, elderly, or with cardiovascular or respiratory conditions. Dehydration and overheating can occur during extended spa sessions in mountain altitude conditions. Hydration is important. Complimentary water and herbal tea stations are available throughout the wellness areas. Guests should drink fluids regularly during their visit, as the 1,320-meter elevation can increase dehydration risk.
Sauna and steam room use should follow recommended time limits posted in each area. The facility includes biosaunas, Finnish saunas, hammams, and Turkish steam baths with varying heat and humidity levels. Guests with heat sensitivity, respiratory issues, high blood pressure, or circulatory problems should avoid or limit time in heated environments. Cool-down areas, showers, and relaxation zones are provided between thermal experiences. Supervision of children is required at all times. Pool depths vary, and children must be watched closely near water. Lifeguards are not present in all pool areas. Parents and guardians are responsible for child safety in and around water. Children under 5 are not permitted in the spa.
The facility has tiled, stone, and wooden floors that may be slippery when wet. Non-slip footwear provided with admission should be worn when moving between wellness areas. Guests should walk carefully and use handrails on stairs connecting the three floors. The outdoor areas have natural stone terracing and wooden decking that can be slippery in wet or icy conditions. In winter, outdoor walkways between pools may have snow or ice accumulation. Staff maintain pathways, but guests should move cautiously. Emergency exits are clearly marked throughout all floors of the complex.
The spa operates with staff monitoring wellness areas, changing rooms, and common spaces. First aid is available on-site, and staff are trained in emergency response protocols. Guests experiencing dizziness, nausea, overheating, fainting, or discomfort during treatments should exit heated areas immediately, move to a cool rest zone, and notify staff. Medical assistance can be arranged if needed. The nearest hospital is in Cavalese, approximately 30 kilometers away. In case of emergency, dial 118 for medical services or 112 for general emergency response. Staff can assist in coordinating emergency care and transportation.
The facility can become crowded during peak ski season (December through March), summer tourism months (July and August), and holiday periods. Crowding may make it difficult to find seating in relaxation areas or space in popular pools. Advance booking helps manage capacity, but some time slots still experience high occupancy. Visitors should respect quiet zones and follow posted etiquette guidelines throughout the facility. Inappropriate behavior, including loud conversation in designated silent areas, use of mobile devices in wellness zones, or failure to maintain proper swimwear in wet areas, may result in staff intervention or removal. The spa is designed as a tranquil mountain wellness environment. Guests are expected to be considerate of others sharing the space. Alcohol consumption is permitted in the bistro and Aperiterme areas, but intoxication is not permitted in wellness zones or pools. Theft of personal items, including provided bathrobes and slippers, can occur. Guests are responsible for securing belongings in lockers. The facility charges fees for lost or stolen robes, towels, and slippers.
